SELECTIONCRITERIA
Based on the information provided by the student and his or her family, as well as the recommendations of his or her teachers, the selection committee will award the corresponding scholarship or grant from among the candidates.
The selection criteria will be based on the following points as guidelines, but each case will be evaluated on its special merits and specific needs.
- Economic status of the family.
- Academic achievement as demonstrated by previous grades.
- Potential for future academic achievement demonstrated by aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated interest in helping their community, friends and/or family.
- Children or youth whose family is experiencing an emergency situation.

Una vez seleccionados los estudiantes, los padres o tutores serán notificados y explicados de todos los detalles sobre la ayuda provista, asà como los compromisos del estudiante y su familia para continuar recibiendo la beca. De surgir alguna situación como las señaladas a continuación, la beca pasará a ser cancelada.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain an acceptable grade point average, higher than 3.0. If the student falls below this average, he/she will be placed on probation and must raise this average during the next semester for consideration by the admissions committee.
- Scholarship recipients must not be drug users or involved in drug dealing, nor must they abuse alcoholic beverages.
- Scholarship recipients must not be involved with the law, involved in felonies or misdemeanors.
- Scholarship recipients must maintain appropriate conduct and must not have behavioral problems at school or in their home environment.
- If the family’s economic condition improves considerably or for any reason it is understood that they do not need the scholarship, it may be assigned to another more needy young candidate.
